Terms
Terms of use
These terms apply to the Earshot app and Earshot Premium subscriptions. Last updated October 23, 2026.
1. Agreement
Earshot: Audio Drama Series is provided by Codext GmbH, Klingenäcker 18, 74523 Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. If you use the app on iPhone or iPad, your use is governed by Appleās Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), together with the subscription terms below. If you use the app on Android, these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service apply.
2. The service
Earshot offers episodic audio drama series. Trailers and episode 1 of every series are free. All other episodes require an active Earshot Premium subscription. The series contain mature themes, violence and suggestive romance; the app is intended for listeners aged 17 and over. We add, change and occasionally remove series and episodes over time.
3. Earshot Premium subscription
- Weekly: USD 5.99 per week, no free trial.
- Yearly: USD 49.99 per year, including a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
Prices are shown in US dollars. The App Store or Google Play shows the price in your local currency, including any applicable taxes, before you confirm the purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The free trial converts to a paid yearly subscription at USD 49.99 per year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings: on iPhone in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. Statutory rights you have as a consumer remain unaffected.
4. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream and download episodes for private, non-commercial listening in the app. You may not copy, record, redistribute, publicly perform or sell the content, or circumvent any technical protection.
5. Availability
We work to keep Earshot available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Downloaded episodes can be played offline; streaming and catalog updates require an internet connection.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
7. Changes and law
We may update these terms for important reasons, for example legal changes or new features. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page in advance. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
